hull 407 Edith B
West Peterborough, NH
Bob M. writes us that Edith B # 407, is still on the hard for work, but that they have a new trailer on the way soon. In preparation for the new trailer, he's stripped a portion of the keel that will soon be hidden by the keel track on the trailer. Bob reports that he has completed recoring the main and forward coachroofs, and is working on the sidedecks, though the weather has been hardly cooperative. For his recore, Bob said he used foam core from Defender that has worked nicely for him, with 3/8" thick Trex coring beneath handrails, mast step, etc.
hull 421 VSOP
Plymouth, MA
421 is being rebuilt and is expected to re-launch in 2010.
hull 431 Mary Lee
Anniston, AL
I just bought the boat and am getting it ready to go back in the water. I am making it a live in and hope to take off soon on a round-the-world cruise. It is in great shape just a few steps away. Seldom does one get a chance to live their dream and take such an adventure on. So I am going to give it a try and keep you all informed when I can. So if you are in Guntersville and see some young fool on a great old boat doing something that makes you just stop in your tracks and scratch your head, forgive me and remember Old Boat New Sailor. And remember keep your community in mind, you will be surprised how many people will help you out when you just talk to them and tell them what you got going on. Thanks for your ear and good luck with all your adventures and don't give up on your dreams.
hull 441 Simanga
Halifax, Nova Scotia
We put a bowsprit on Simanga and a large, light air mast head jib that sheets to the stern. She's unbelievably fast and no weatherhelm. We keep the old working jib on the forestay. The atomic 4 is still working.
hull 450 Nevermind
Santa Barbara, CA
West Coast boat with fractional rig and balsa core decks. She's frequently making runs out to the Channel Islands!
hull 460 Name Unknown
Norfolk, VA
Home ported out of Norfolk, VA until Dec08 then transporting Her north to CHICAGO, IL to sail with my family. At which time we will have a naming ceremony in the spring 09.
hull 466 Jollyboat
Norwalk, CT
#466 is my second Triton. I have renamed her JOLLYBOAT. Previously #466 had been named SHELLEY and later LOVELY-LAURA. I believe that #466 lived most of it's life in western Long Island Sound. Having a little knowledge to work with from my first 15 year Triton #346, #466 was in rough shape, however, the boat had survived to that point with many of the original bits and pieces in place. Though in need of TLC I could see that #466 had received some worthwhile attention in the past. Since the start of my care I have removed all of the afermarket "improvements" made to the boat and now will concentrate the simplified original design characteristics. Project goals for 06. Rudder rebuild, new tiller, new bottom, new running rigging, adjustable backstay, full inventory of gran prix sails, new engine install, new wiring, new interior paint, new exterior paint, head rebuild and new mast support beam.
hull 476 Neptune's Child
Lakeland, FL
Located at Apollo Beach, FL. Currently being refitted this year and hope to be finished by June 2006.
hull 477 Modestine
Redding, CA
The previous owner hauled her to Redding from Seattle in early '90s. She still had San Francisco stenciled on the transom. I have owned her since ca. 1994. The list of needed upgrades & fixes is long, but she affords graceful sailing & a sort of seedy elegance. Modestine is a poetic name describing her graceful beauty.
hull 484 Risky Business
Medina, NY
Just purchased this charm, hope to have it restored and in the water by the end of agust 2006. Plan on living aboard in south Carolina this fall and winter.
hull 490 Blue Heron
Brooklyn, NY
I just bought her with about eighteen inches of rain water standing inside. I drained her and will start working on her in the spring. She was a real mess and even the engine was under water. The neglect might have been from just this season.
hull 522 Good Goose
Underhill, VT
The Good Goose is currently located in Malletts Bay, Colchester, VT and was formerly owned by Larry Shea of Newport Yacht club two time triton Nationals champ.
hull 532 Anna Bella
Wheeler, WI
I bought Anna Bella from Claus and Rachael Thorp-Newman of Minneapolis three years ago this past August. I don't know anything about her prior to that except that they mentioned she'd been to the Bahamas at one point. Rachael did extensive work to her hull. I aim to refinish the topsides and do some interior work. All of this gradually so as to not interfere with our brief summer season. These are wonderful boats.
hull 545 Blue Aura
Sturgeon Bay, WI
Purchased Blue Aura in May, 2006 from a gentleman that owned her for 30+ yrs. The boat is "rumored" to have been originally owned by Walter Cronkite but I bought it because it was a Triton. She's very sound but needs a thorough refurbishing/renovating. And that's what I am doing. My goal is to have her sailing in 2007
hull 559 Ring
Pembroke, MA
I've owned Ring for six years now and she's having some much needed cosmetic work done. I don't forsee her getting her keel wet this season but by late fall '05 the Ring will be all set for an early spring '06 launching. Brief history; Ring spent two seasons in Greenwich on the Mianus river. They don't like sailboats down there do they!! Then I moved to Clinton CT and moored her on the CT river thru Essex boatworks. Shw was there for two seasons. Next was Port Clinton Marina. And finally Pembroke, where the work is being done on her and also on the 200 year old Cape that needs cosmetic work too, that I've recently bought. If anyone has any helpful info or wats to share some Triton story please email me.
hull 562 Pleione
Vinalhaven, ME
Pleione is co-owned with Ben Neal and sails out of Rockland, ME
hull 568 Allegra
Brooklyn, NY
Recently aquired from Carl. See my website for more information.
hull 571 Caper
Cape Vincent, NY
We purchased Caper 2 years ago from Con Belfour, MI. She was on the hard for quite some time. In good shape needing only minor work. Fantastic trailer. Atomic 4 is now running well, expect to launch next season after I finish and sell our Alberg 22. For now, she rests in the heavy duty trailer Con built, in our backyard.
hull 586 LaLuna
Oldsmar, FL
LaLuna is raced frequently in the SPSA and other local Tampa Bay races. I'm proud to say she's a competitor and finishes in the top 3 of most races while competing against larger 40'+ cruisers. She's a pleasure to sail, especially in 15+ knots.
hull 589 Arianna
West Palm Beach, FL
We've owned it since February 2004 and are refitting/ rebuilding for extended east coastal Florida cruising and Bahaman island hopping. She's berthed in West Palm Beach. We renamed her Arianna(after our grand daughter); she was known as Emogene.
