The Bad:

  • deeply crazed gelcoat on topsides
  • tired and scratched finish (awlgrip?) on hull

  • pretty much all running rigging should be replaced
  • no head- I removed the existing
  • disconnected FW tank
  • No mattresses on forward V berth
  • no stove
  • wood coaming should be replaced
  • original electrical system works but needs updating

Also in the spirit of full disclosure, sure we have some deck core issues, and bedding of liferail stanchion and other hardware issues, but decks decks and cockpit didn't seem to have any soft spots so we didn't worry about it.

I would summarize the boats condition by saying it would be a really good candidate for a restoration, or could be sailed for many more summers in its present condition by an owner who was not concerned about cosmetics(like us).

Boat is in cradle at hopkins boatyard on Vinalhaven (ME). Contact Dan Boxer at danielboxer@yahoo.com. Asking Price : $6000.
